Sacramento Mountain Lions News Release
SACRAMENTO, CA - Thursday, November 11, 2010 - The Sacramento Mountain Lions, a United League Football team, are offering all fans an exclusive chance to meet and mingle with the team following the last game of the regular season. Fans who stick around after Saturday night's game against the Omaha Nighthawks will gain access to the field, joined by the players, coaches, dancers and staff.
Mountain Lions head coach Dennis Green is ready for a big finish to the season.
"We're still a contender for the championship game, but regardless of what happens on the field that night, the team is excited to get back out there to meet the fans that have supported them all season," Green said. "As a football organization you can't ask for anything more than a home stadium full of cheering fans. If we win, it will be that much more fitting to have Sacramento out on the field with us."
The members of the Mountain Lions organization will be present from Daunte Culpepper to the Lady Lions and the front office staff. Fans will be able to collect autographs and photos to commemorate the occasion.
"Sacramento has really embraced the team during our first season and we wanted to do something unique," said Joe Wagoner, Director of Business Management for the Mountain Lions. "We believe that accessibility has been one of the keys to our league."
Saturday is the last regular season game of the Mountain Lions inaugural season, with the possibility of going on to the championship game in Omaha on November 27. A Tailgate Challenge cooking competition will be held during FanFest prior to the game and six acts will tour the parking lot to entertain fans. Additional information about pregame festivities is available on the Mountain Lions Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/SacramentoMountainLions.
Tickets for the game start at just $15, parking in the Sac State lots is an additional $5, FanFest activities start at 5pm and are free to those attending. Kickoff is at 8pm, game tickets are available online at www.SacMountainLions.com.
