CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa â The Cedar Rapids Kernels' Midwest League baseball game against the Peoria Chiefs scheduled for Wednesday noon was cancelled by rain.
The game will not be made up because the teams do not meet again in the first half of the Midwest League season.
Persons holding tickets for Wednesday's game can exchange them for tickets to any future Kernels game. The tickets from the game must be presented for exchange at the Kernels ticket office.
The Kernels (15-10) open a four-game series at Battle Creek on Thursday. The Kernels have won their last three games.
The postponement is only the third in 85 scheduled home dates since New Veterans Memorial Stadium opened in April 2002.
Next game â Thursday, Kernels at Battle Creek, 5 p.m. (Iowa time)
