
Morrissey Invited to World Junior Summer Camp

Prince Albert SK- Prince Albert Raiders defenceman Josh Morrissey has been invited to Hockey Canada's National Junior Team summer development camp taking place from August 4 - 10 in Brossard, Quebec and Lake Placid, New York.
The reigning Canadian Hockey League Scholastic Player of the Year recorded 15 goals and 32 assists for 47 points and a plus-14 rating last season for the Raiders.
Morrissey has prior experience with Hockey Canada, representing Team Pacific at the 2012 World Under-17 Challenge. The Calgary, Alberta product also won a gold-medal at the 2012 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and brought home a bronze at the 2012 World Under-18 Championships.
More recently, Morrissey took gold at the 2013 World Under-18 Championships in Sochi, Russia, where he led the tournament in plus/minus and finished second in defenseman scoring. His efforts were recognized by tournament brass, as he was named one of Canada's top three players in the event.
The summer camp will be used to evaluate the 35 invitees as they partake in practices as well as exhibition games against Finland, Sweden and the United States.
The 6-foot, 180-pound Prince Albert blueliner is currently in New Jersey preparing for the 2013 NHL Entry Draft on Sunday.
