
Morgan Klimchuk Named to Team Canada U-18 Squad

Regina, Saskatchewan - Hockey Canada and the Canadian Hockey League announced the 23 player roster for Canada's National Men's Under-18 Team for the 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship, taking place April 18-28 in Sochi, Russia. Among the seven WHL'ers named to the team is Regina Pats forward Morgan Klimchuk.
In exhibition action, Klimchuk chipped in with one assist in Canada's first contest against Team USA. He was also a part of Canada's Gold Medal winning U-18 Team at the Memorial of Ivan Hlinka Tournament in August of 2012.
The Pats' 5th overall pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft finished the 2012-13 season second on the Pats in scoring with 36 goals and 40 assists for 76 points in his second WHL campaign.
The Calgary, AB product was ranked 24th among North American Skaters by Central Scouting in the midterm rankings for the 2013 NHL Draft and 33rd on TSN's Midterm Rankings.
