More Early Season Promotions Released for 2012

Wisconsin Rapids, WI- April 24th, 2012. The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters have announced three more promotions to help start the 2012 season out right. Assumption Schools Night, Schoep's Cereal Bowl Giveaway, and the first Thirsty Thursday have been announced as early season promotions.

On Wednesday, June 6th the Rafters will host Assumption Catholic Schools Night. Students will be on hand to help celebrate their completion of the Incourage Community Foundation Reading Program. Assumption Catholic Schools will also host a pre-game tailgate at the Assumption High School parking lot for Assumption families, staff, and students. Gates will open at 6:05 p.m. for the ballgame with game time slated for 7:05 p.m.

On Tuesday, June 5th the Rafters will play host to the Wisconsin Woodchucks at 7:05 p.m. The first fans through the gate will receive a co-branded cereal bowl, courtesy of Schoep's Ice Cream. Gates will open at 6:05 p.m. for the Tuesday evening contest.

Budweiser Thirsty Thursday is back for the 2012 season! The Rafters will take on the La Crosse Loggers on Thursday May 31st for the first Budweiser Thirsty Thursday game of the season. Fans will be able to enjoy 2 for 1 taps for all domestic beer through the 5th inning. Game times for all Thursday games will be 7:05 p.m. with gates opening at 6:05 p.m. The Budweiser Thirsty Thursday promotion will run during every Thursday game during the 2012 season.

Tickets for these and all promotional nights are included in each of the three 9-game packages available for the 2012 season, which are currently on sale at the Rafters Office. Single game tickets for the season will go on sale beginning Saturday, April 28th at 9:00 a.m. Stay tuned for the remainder of the 2012 Rafters promotional schedule that is set to be released this week.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are members of the 16-team summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Rafters will play a 70 game schedule with 35 home games in 2012. Opening Day at historic Witter Field is scheduled for Wednesday, May 30th at 7:05 pm against the La Crosse Loggers.
