
Woodchucks Announce Assistant Coaches

Wausau Woodchucks News Release
(Wausau) - The Wisconsin Woodchucks would like to announce the addition of two assistant coaches for the 2012 season. Jameel Ziadeh, an assistant at Iowa Western Community College, and Patrick Rose, assistant coach at Santa Barbara City College, will join Field Manager Erik Supplee on the Woodchucks staff this season.
Ziadeh is entering his first season at Iowa Western Community College, which is currently ranked #1 in the nation among Division I Junior Colleges. As a player, Ziadeh began his college career at American River College in Sacramento, Calif. before transferring and playing two seasons at Campbellsville University in Kentucky. He was a 2011 All Mid-South Conference 1st team selection, and won the Gold Glove award in the conference for his play in centerfield. Ziadeh finished his career at a Campbellsville with a .331 career batting average. He holds a Bachelors Degree with a major in Mass Communication and a minor in Sports Management.
Patrick Rose started his coaching career as an assistant at UC-Santa Barbara last season and is entering his first season as a coach on the Santa Barbara City College staff. He was recruited to play infield for the University of New Orleans in the SunÃÂ Belt Conference. Transferred to UCSB after his freshman year. He was a four-year player for the Gauchos, earning All-Big West honors in his senior season. Playing 2nd and 3rd base, he hit .357 for the seasonÃÂ and led the conference in hitting at .422. In his senior year, he was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 2008. Rose played a combined four seasons in the minors and independent ball, compiling a .280 batting average with 7 home runs and 81 RBI.
