Moose Release Collins from PTO

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have released centre Dusty Collins from his professional tryout contract.

Collins, 25, joined the Moose during their recent home stand on Jan. 17/11 and appeared in three games at MTS Centre. Collins scored in his second game with the Moose vs. the Toronto Marlies (Jan. 19/11) and also recorded 12 penalty minutes during his three games.

The Gilbert, AZ native has now played in 107 career games in parts of three seasons in Manitoba where he has 13 points (10g, 3a) and 139 penalty minutes. Collins has recorded 19 points (14g, 5a) in 143 career games in the AHL with Manitoba, Springfield, Rockford, Manchester, and San Antonio. Collins was originally drafted in the fifth round, 163rd overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
