
Moose Jaw Wins Over ICE, 5-3

The Winnipeg ICE found themselves down 4-0 after the opening period as the Moose Jaw Warriors prevailed by a 5-3 final Saturday night at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.
Brayden Yager scored twice while Ryder Korcak and Martin Rysavy paced the Warriors in the opening frame to even the best of seven Eastern Conference Semi Final series at a game apiece.
Following a scoreless second period, Winnipeg made it interesting with goals by Zack Ostapchuk, Connor McClennon and Carson Latimer. For Latimer, it was his first game since February 26th when he suffered a lower body injury in Edmonton.
Josh Hoekstra sealed the game with an empty net goal for the visitors.
Winnipeg outshot Moose Jaw 36-20, including 29-9 over the final 40 minutes.
Connor Ungar earned the victory in goal. Daniel Hauser suffered the loss allowing four goals on 11 shots. Mason Beaupit played the last two periods stopping all eight shots he faced.
The Warriors went 3/5 on the power play while the ICE were 1/9.
The series now shifts for Games Three and Four Tuesday and Wednesday in Moose Jaw.
The ICE and Warriors are guaranteed to return to Winnipeg for Game Five Saturday, April 22nd at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena starting at 7:30.
