Moose Announce 'Tin For The Bin' For Winnipeg Harvest on Friday, March 28

The Moose are proud to announce that the game on Friday, March 28 against the Providence Bruins will be a chance to a bring a "tin for the bin". The organization encourages all fans to drop off a food donation for the Winnipeg Harvest Food Bank.

At the game, Peak of the Market volunteers and families will be at the doors to accept food donations. Peak of the Market growers will match all donations pound for pound with fresh vegetables.

With a healthy crowd of over 10,000 expected on Friday, the one game collection record set in 2000 should be broken. At that time, fans brought in the equivalent of 17,056 pounds and Peak of the Market matched the amount and the record total was established at 34,112 pounds.

"We are looking forward to a large crowd at the Moose game on Friday and invite Moose fans to generously donate to the Winnipeg Harvest Food Bank and help us shut out hunger," stated Larry McIntosh, President and CEO of Peak of the Market.

Money donations will also be accepted on Friday. Winnipeg Harvest will convert the dollars into pounds of food and the Peak of the Market will match that amount.
