
Montreal tastes victory before Christmas

Montreal, Qc. The revamped Montreal ABA pro basketball team battled the Newark Express for the second night in a row on Saturday and received a precious gift: A First Victory! Montreal won 113-94 over the tough Express.
At the end of the first quarter, Newark led 17-15. Montreal came back in the second quarter but still trailed by 3 at 39-36. However, two minutes into the third quarter, the situation changed. The score went from 40-39 Newark to 51-41 quickly and Montreal took control and went on to win 113-94 before a delighted crowd. The Montreal players not only showed how devoted they really are, but also how well they can play. Shawn Browne led Montreal with 28 points, Bobby Miller and Damon Jones both had 19.
