Texas wins 12th game, defeats Waco 105-88

Desoto, TX - Texas Tycoons win their 12th game in front of a capacity crowd, defeats Waco Wranglers 105-88 at the Texas Tycoon's Christmas Classic at the Desoto Town Center.

Playing before a standing room only crowd, the Tycoons behind 23 points from Josh Gonner (6'2''-G-82, college: S.Carolina) kept the Waco offense in check for most of the evening. Texas has continued to improve on the defensive end and the 10 rebound, 3 blocks, 2 monster dunks and inside pressence of Oneal Mims (6'10''-F-82, college: Angelo St.) helped Texas hold Waco to a season low 88 points on the night.

Also contributing to the Texas win was Jerome Rogers (5'10''-G-81, college: N.Texas) with 18 points, Donnie Beacham (6'5''-F-81, college: Texas Arlington) had 15, Randall Williams (6'8''-C-82, college: Tarleton St.) 11, and Chris Williams (6'8''-F, college: Tarleton St.) with 10 points and 8 rebounds.

For the Wranglers Reggie Griffin (6'4''-G-75, college: Louisiana Monroe) had 25, Mike Reid 16 and Mario Kinsey (6'2''-G-82, college: Texas Coll.) 15.

With the win, Texas moves to 12-4 on the season and are hoping to improve upon their #5 ABA power ranking. The Tycoons and Wranglers will face up again in Desoto on Friday, December 29th at 7pm.
