Aeros top ABA power rankings

December 24, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced its Power Rankings for the week ending Saturday, December 23rd - and once again, the Arkansas Aeros lead the way with the Minnesota Ripknees running a close second. According to Brad Hester, ABA VP of Operations, "The Jacksonville Jam and the Vermont Frost Heaves, based on our formula are not far behind those two. A win or loss could show some changes next week."

"Our biggest mover of the week is the Bellingham Slam that jumped seven spots from #12 to #5," added Hester. "And three new teams jumped into the Power Rankings, including Beijing, Monterrey MX and the Sacramento Heatwave, using our formula of won-loss, difficulty of schedule, number of games played and other factors. This is particularly important because Power Rankings will have a lot of influence on the selections for the ABA All Star teams in January." The ABA Power Rankings:
