Montreal Impact and Adam Braz Part Ways by Mutual Decision

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Monday that the club and its technical director Adam Braz ended their relationship by mutual agreement.

"It's an amicable separation that was done in the utmost respect," said Montreal Impact president Joey Saputo. "I thought it was important to make changes to optimize our technical structure. Different new opportunities were offered to Adam, but he preferred to decline them. I wish to thank him for his work and his professionalism in the last four years. He did everything to help the team find success. I also wish him good luck in his future endeavours."

"I want to thank the president, Joey Saputo, for the opportunity that he gave me to work as the technical director for the Montreal Impact during the last four years," said Adam Braz. "I have learned a lot and have grown professionally during my time here. The exciting journey to the Champions League final in 2015 and the memorable playoff run in 2016 will live long in my memory. I want to take this opportunity to recognize and thank the players and staff for their hard work and efforts. Thank you to all the IMFC fans that support the club. You are the lifeline of the club and you make Stade Saputo a great place to watch and play soccer. I am leaving on amicable terms and I wish the club the very best in the future."

Named technical director on November 24, 2014, Adam Braz first joined the club's technical staff in March 2011, after a nine-year professional career as a player, including seven in Montreal.

Head coach and director of player personnel Rémi Garde remains in charge of first-team player selection.

Following this restructuring of the technical staff, Rémi Garde will continue to count on the necessary support in terms of administrative services for the team, recruiting, salary cap management and first-team contract negotiation. New appointments will in fact be announced shortly.

Adam Braz will remain in office with the Impact until mid-December.
