MONTGOMERY - The Tampa Bay Rays have made two roster moves affecting the Montgomery Biscuits.

Left-handed starter Jake McGee is being placed on the disabled list, retroactive to June 23. McGee had to depart from his start on June 22 with a strained left elbow. The pitcher, named the 15th-best prospect in baseball by Baseball America, is 6-4 in 15 start with the Biscuits, with a 3.94 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 77 2/3 innings.

Right hander Jeremy Hellickson will take his place. Hellickson had been with Vero Beach, leading the Florida State League in ERA (2.00), strikeouts (83), wins (7), average against (.224), and WHIP (.900). Hellickson was 7-1 with only five walks in 76 2/3 innings.
