Monterey Bay FC News Release
SALINAS, Calif. - Monterey Bay Football Club (Monterey Bay F.C.) forward Chase Boone and midfielders Mobi Fehr and James Murphy visited First Tee Monterey County in Salinas, California on Thursday, October 12. The players arrived and took part in some fun golf activities before participating in a meet and greet and signing autographs for the kids in attendance.
After taking time to introduce themselves and talk about their careers, Boone, Fehr, and Murphy rotated through stations with the kids. The first station was a driving range where the kids focused on the fundamentals of golf. The second station was a foot golf hole, which involves a soccer ball instead of a golf ball. Following the typical rules of golf, the players and kids used their feet to kick a soccer ball across the hole and in. At the conclusion of the event, the players took photos with the kids, signed autographs, and handed out giveaways.
First Tee Monterey County (FTMC) is dedicated to providing youth of all backgrounds an opportunity for a brighter future. FTMC delivers a targeted curriculum of golf and character development, life skills, academic support, higher education, mentorship, and career development that empowers kids through a lifetime of new challenges.
