Monterey Bay FC News Release
Monterey Bay Football Club (Monterey Bay F.C.) midfielder Simon Dawkins, and forwards Jesse Maldonado and Adrian Rebollar attended Monterey High School's Open House event on Thursday, April 21. The trio spent time speaking with fans, taking photos, and signing autographs.
"It was nice to see the kids out there and hopefully we can help to inspire them," said Maldonado. "Hopefully we can continue to excite everybody around here. It was nice to be in the community and know that there are people around here that support us. It was good to get out there, get to know more of the people around here and also let people get to know us."
In addition to handing out Monterey Bay F.C. stickers and pins, the guys collected raffle tickets throughout the event to give away a team-signed soccer ball and then drew the winner at the end of the night.
"It was awesome to be out in the community because that is a big part of what this club is about," said Rebollar. "We want to do as much as we can to be around and be involved with everyone who lives around here. It was great to see people already wearing our gear, having the badge on their hats, sweaters, backpacks and all of that. It was nice to meet people who are excited to come see us play at Cardinale Stadium. We enjoyed introducing ourselves to new faces, hopefully we will have a lot of fans here on May 7."
