Cleveland Monsters News Release
CLEVELAND - After a 2-0 start against the Laval Rocket last weekend, the Cleveland Monsters will commence their 2019-20 home schedule tomorrow as they take on the Syracuse Crunch for a pair of games in downtown Cleveland. This weekend will mark the first time that fans can see hockey inside the massively-transformed Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The two teams face off on Friday when it's "1-2-3 Friday" presented by Pepsi and Sugardale ($1 sodas, $2 hot dogs & $3 select beers) and the first 10,000 fans will receive a Magnetic Schedule courtesy of University Hospitals Sports Medicine. On Saturday, the "Opening Weekend" celebration continues with "Blue Jackets Night." Doors open to the public for both games open at 6:00 p.m. with the opening faceoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Monsters fans will get to experience the "all-new" Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse for the first time this weekend. The venue features more space, amenities and food and beverage options that will bring a new energy and excitement to the fan experience like never before! The newly-transformed FieldHouse north atrium, which added an additional 45,000 square feet of public space, opens to ticketed guests at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Within the atrium, fans will have access to the new Fahrenheit Restaurant, season ticket members can access the exclusive Monsters Hockey Club Member Lounge and much more!
This year's Monsters season theme will be #LighttheLand, a popular theme that was debuted during last year's playoffs on all platforms including all Monsters social and digital channels. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to this weekend's games for player introductions, a new, #LighttheLand video open, and to explore new spaces at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, including the Monsters championship wall located in the atrium, and the Power Portal, a fully-immersive audio-visual entryway located inside the Sherwin-Williams entrance. New items commemorating Opening Weekend at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse will be available for purchase at the Monsters Team Shop, and several new retail stands throughout the concourse.
Tickets for the game are available NOW starting at only $10 per seat! Fans who are unable to attend this weekend can enjoy full live coverage of both games at 7:00 p.m. EST on Friday and Saturday nights on ALT 99.1, AHLTV and the iHeartRadio app on the Monsters Hockey Network.
