October 23, 2023 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the 2023 Grey Cup Festival announced Monday, Juno Award-winning rock band Monster Truck will headline the Neighbourhood Block Party on Sunday, November 19 at Tim Hortons Field.
"After playing the halftime show at the Labour Day classic in 2018 we feel like honorary team members. We've all bled black and gold our whole lives and quite honestly we wouldn't have tolerated being excluded from the party. Get ready for the hits because we're playing all of them." Said Brandon Bliss of Monster Truck.
The Hamilton natives along with Boy Golden and Born In The Eighties make up a stacked lineup for the Neighbourhood Block Party, which is free to attend for any fans with a ticket to the 110th Grey Cup game. Beginning at 2 p.m., the trio of Canadian acts will rock the south plaza at Tim Hortons Field and keep fans entertained until just before kickoff, making for the perfect tailgate ahead of the big game.
This is the latest in a series of major announcements from the Ticats and the Grey Cup Festival. Carrie Underwood was announced as the Friday night headliner featuring opening act Brian Kelley at FirstOntario Centre on Friday, November 17. It was also previously announced 40+ Canadian bands will perform on James Street, downtown Hamilton from November 16-18.
More news will continue to roll out in the coming days as the city and region gear up to host Canada's biggest and best party including of course the 110th Grey Cup game, the Championship of the Canadian Football League, at Tim Hortons Field on Sunday, November 19, where global punk-rock superstars, Green Day, will headline the Twisted Tea Grey Cup Halftime Show.
