MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have been crowned "Best NH Sports Team" by the readership of New Hampshire Magazine, the state's largest lifestyle magazine. The Monarchs were also honored with the same award in 2005, 2004 and in 2003.
Several of this year's winning entries will be on display when the magazine hosts its annual "Best Of NH" celebration at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Thursday, June 22. The celebration will last from 5:30-8:30 p.m., with proceeds from the event benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire.
This year will be bigger and better than ever - it's the party's "Fabulous 5th" anniversary. Partygoers can sample gourmet food from dozens of restaurants, enjoy the entertainment and take a chance on thousands of dollars in door prizes - all celebrating the best New Hampshire has to offer.
