Don't Miss Summer Fan Fest The Monarchs will kick off the midway point of summer with their third annual Summer Fan Fest and Street Hockey Tournament, presented by TSR Hockey, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 20! The plaza of the Verizon Wireless Arena will be turned into a carnival-like atmosphere with inflatable bounce houses, a live band, photo opportunities with Max and former Monarchs players, and the Monarchs Pro Shop's Blowout Sidewalk Sale! A portion of Elm Street, from Lake Avenue to Auburn Street, will also be blocked off for Manchester's largest Street Hockey Tournament, presented by TSR Hockey!

Mark Your Calendar It is time to start filling in your schedule with the Monarchs guaranteed home games for the 2013-14 season! The Monarchs will kick off their 13th season in the Queen City on Saturday, October 19 and will turn the Verizon Wireless Arena into the largest classroom in the state with Education Day, presented by NHHEAF, on Wednesday, November 13! Mullets In Movember returns on Saturday, November 16 and Canadian Heritage Night is slated for Saturday, November 23. The two must-see games of the season are the Holiday Game on Sunday, December 15 and the New Year's Eve Celebration on Tuesday, December 31!

Next Season Can't Wait The Los Angeles Kings may have recently been eliminated from the playoffs, but for front office executives, next season has already begun. The Kings have wasted little time in beginning to mold the roster for the 2013-14 season as they have re-signed defenseman Slava Voynov and right wing Brandon Kozun earlier this week. The re-signings are just the beginning of a busy "off-season" for the Kings organization. With so many moving parts with the upcoming draft and free agency, it should be an interesting couple of weeks. For front office executives, summer will have to wait.
