MANCHESTER, NH - Max, the official mascot of the Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, will take part in the I AM ONE Event to benefit Families In Transition on Thursday, September 4, then he will be at the Manchester Regional Youth Hockey Association's Welcome Back Cookout Event on Friday, September 5, and he will kick-off the Norris Cotton Cancer Center's 5K on Sunday, September 7, Monarchs Community Outreach and Promotions Manager Michelle Gagnon announced today.
Families In Transition is presenting the "I AM ONE: New Hampshire Day to End Childhood Homelessness/FIT For Stardom Music Competition" at Veteran's Park in Manchester, New Hampshire, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 4. Max and members of the Monarchs Promo Squad will be greeting with fans and assisting kids with the Monarchs Kids Club inflatable shooting game. This one of a kind event will feature an action-packed evening of food, drinks, and live music by three local bands who will compete to win the coveted first place prize! Max will be joining MRYHA and the Manchester Flames at their celebration for returning players and their families to celebrate the kick-off to the 50th season of MRYHA on Friday, September 5. The MRYHA Board of Directors invites all of the MRYHA family members of Learn to Skate; Learn to Play Hockey; U8/U12 Recreation Division; Flames travel teams, and HSDP for a fun-filled night of raffles, prizes, and music! Max will be celebrating the upcoming hockey season by taking photos and signing autographs from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information, please contact your MRYHA representative.
Fans can join Max for the Sixth Annual Friends Fighting Cancer 5K walk/run road race and 400M Kids Race in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Sunday, September 7. The race will travel through the old Mill District along the Merrimack River. Following the race, participants can enjoy complimentary food and a beverage from Milly's Tavern at the post-race party which includes cash prizes, awards, T-shirts, and music!
