MANCHESTER, NH - Max, the official mascot of the Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, will participate in the Goffstown Police Department's National Night Out Event on Tuesday, August 5, and he will walk in the Sandown Old Home Day Parade on Saturday, August 9, Monarchs Community Outreach and Promotions Manager Michelle Gagnon announced today.

Fans can join Max and approximately 16,500 communities throughout the United States as the Monarchs help to promote police-community partnerships. The Goffstown Police Department's National Night Out is a fun, family-friendly event that will include live music, hay rides, touch-a-truck, food, kids' games, demonstrations from the Goffstown Police Department's K-9 Unit, and many more activities at the Shaw's Plaza parking lot at 553 Mast Road in Goffstown from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5.

Max will also be walking in the 2014 Sandown Old Home Day Parade which begins at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9. Max will line up with the parade participants starting at Glastombury Drive. Join in Sandown's Old Home Day celebration all weekend long as they will have activities and events for the entire family starting on Friday, August 8 and ending on Sunday, August 10.
