
Monarchs Home Opener Set For October 18; New Year's Eve Game Scheduled

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, will open their 2008-09 home schedule on Saturday, October 18 at the Verizon Wireless Arena. In addition, Manchester is scheduled to continue with their traditional New Year's Eve game on Wednesday, December 31. The entire 2008-09 Monarchs schedule including their opponents will be announced later this summer.
The Monarchs are scheduled to play 54 intra-division games during the 2008-09 season and are slated to play six Western Conference teams including the first contests in franchise history with the Grand Rapids Griffins and Lake Erie Monsters. The division alignment will remain the same as the 2007-08 season.
