MONARCHS NOTES: ƒá Sacramento ended a three-game losing streak and are 1-1 on a three-game home stand. ƒá The Monarchs 18-point victory marks their largest win margin of the season. ƒá Sacramento scored 27 points off of Los Angeles¡¦ 27 turnovers. ƒá The Monarchs outscored the Sparks in the third quarter, 11-19. ƒá Crystal Kelly helped the Monarchs gain their biggest lead of the game- 22 points with 44.8 seconds left in the fourth- on an old-fashioned three-point play. ƒá Ticha Penicheiro dished out a season-high nine assists to go along with 15 points and three steals. Ticha has had seven or more assists in five of the last seven games. ƒá Nicole Powell scored a game-high 24 points in addition to four rebounds and three steals. ƒá Kara Lawson grabbed her own offensive rebound and hit a three-point shot with the clock running down to end the third quarter with the Monarchs on a 16-3 run.

SPARKS NOTES: ć The Sparks had a season-high 27 turnovers. ć Los Angeles Sparks shot .552 from the field in the first half. ć The Sparks out-rebounded the Monarchs 32-25. ć Candace Parker shot 6-of-12 from the field for 14 points to go along with 11 rebounds, six assists and three blocks. She has recorded double-doubles in the last three games. ć Sidney Spencer scored 14 points and grabbed a season-high seven rebounds. ć Marie Ferdinand-Harris shot 4-of-5 from the field for 12 points.
