MONARCH MAULING
The Monarchs put up seven goals against the Admirals on Wednesday night at Scope Arena, the first time they hung a touchdown and extra point this season and first since a Mar. 25 tilt against the Elmira Jackals. In the offensive outburst, the Monarchs scored 23.3% (7-of-30) of their total goals this season.
GAME-CHANGING GOALTENDING
Monarchs goaltender, Charles Williams, has posted a 1.98 GAA in the five games he has played in, good for sixth in the ECHL. Williams has posted a 0.925 save percentage in his rookie season, and his four wins are tied for the league lead.
DOMINATING DEFENSEMEN
Monarchs Defensemen, Colton Saucerman, has continued his strong play from the blue line, and currently sits in a tie for third in scoring among all defenders. Through eight games this season, Saucerman has posted seven points on one goal and six assists, and is tied with four power-play assists.
SECOND TO NONE
The second period has been favorable to the Monarchs, as they lead the league with 15 goals in the middle frames of games. Period two has been a disaster for the Admirals, as they have allowed the most goals of any team in the ECHL, with 17 conceded.
