
'Blades Add Defenseman Sean Robertson; Didier Recalled

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Friday that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Sean Robertson. In addition, defenseman Josiah Didier has been recalled by the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Robertson,26, joins the 'Blades after logging an assist in one appearance with the Fayetteville Marksmen of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). Additionally, Robertson also recorded an assist in one game played with the Reading Royals (ECHL) this season. The 6-0, 195-pound blueliner also played last season in Fayetteville (SPHL) where he posted 22 assists in 35 games played. During the same season, Robertson made seven appearances with the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL). The Cobble Hill, British Columbia native totaled 11 points (3g, 8a) during his lone season at the University of Guelph (OUAA) in 2015-16.
Didier, 24, earns his AHL call up to Charlotte after registering five points (1g, 4a) with 23 penalty minutes in eight games played the Everblades this season. The 6-3, 220-pound defenseman has totaled 14 points (2g, 12a) in 100 career AHL appearances split between the St. John's IceCaps and Hamilton Bulldogs. Didier is under an AHL contract with Charlotte this season.
The Everblades return to the ice this Saturday at Orlando to take on the Wawa Sunshine Cup rival Orlando Solar Bears. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
