WHERE WE STAND

The Monarchs (49 pts.) begin their four-game week atop the North Division by five points over the Brampton Beast, and four points behind the Eastern Conference leading Florida Everblades. Manchester starts the week nine points clear of Adirondack and 28 points ahead of Elmira.

JUST SHOOT

The Monarchs enter today's game with the highest shooting percentage in the ECHL, converting on 12.5% of their chances (140-of -1117). Rihards Bukarts leads the team and is tied for third in the league with a 25% shooting percentage (7-for-28), with Gasper Kopitar at 21.7% (5-for-23) and Joey Diamond converting on 21.4% of his shots (12-for-56).

NOT THE FIRST

The Thunder enter today's matinee with an .833 winning percentage when scoring the first goal of the game, having posted a 13-1-2-2 record when lighting the lamp first. When Adirondack allows the first marker, the team has struggled to mount comebacks, going 4-10-1-1. Manchester enters today with a 13-4-1-1 record when scoring first, and are 10-6-0-1 when allowing the first goal.

HISTORICALLY OFFENSIVE

The Monarchs offense has produced 13 goals in the last two games against their North Division Rivals, something the team has not done since a 13-goal outburst from Dec. 29-31, 2010, when the Monarchs beat the Adirondack Phantoms 6-2, and then the Providence Bruins, 7-3. In the history of the team, the Monarchs have never scored 13 goals on back-to-back nights, and you'll have to go back to Apr. 11-13, 2007, when the Monarchs put up 13 goals in back-to-back games on the same team, beating the Springfield Falcons 6-4 and then 7-0.

SPREADING THE WEALTH

The offensive explosion in the last two games has been shared by the entire roster, as the Monarchs have received goals by 10 different players, including Shore (2), Wyszomirski (2), Arnold, Doremus, Leitner, Lynch, Morris, Privitera, Rome and Turgeon. Not only have the goals been spread throughout the lineup, but 17 of the 20 skaters who have suited up in the last two against the Thunder have scored at least one point.
