GLENS FALLS, N.Y. - The Manchester Monarchs went 1-for-8 on the power play and fell to the Adirondack Thunder in Game 3 of the North Division Semifinals, 3-1, Tuesday night at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

The Monarchs (2-1) will now play the Thunder (1-2) in a pivotal Game 4 on Thursday night in Glens Falls.

After a scoreless first period, the Thunder opened the scoring at 3:11 on a goal by Alex Wall, his 3rd of the playoffs. Wall took a pass just above the left dot from Dennis Kravchenko and sent a one-timer past the glove of Monarchs goaltender, Sam Brittain, to make the score, 1-0, Thunder.

Adirondack added to their lead when Kravchenko netted his 1st goal of the playoffs at 10:30 of the second period. James Henry started the scoring play with a strong net drive that Brittain stopped, but the rebound made its way to Kravchenko just below the left dot where the Thunder forward slammed a snapper through the glove of Brittain to make the score, 2-0, Adirondack.

The Thunder made it a 3-0 game when Gunnar Hughes scored his 1st goal of the playoffs at 12:36 of the final frame. Hughes dug the puck out of the right corner and sent a short-angled shot on net that squeaked through the skates of Brittain to increase Adirondack's lead.

The Monarchs finally got on the board with 22.2 seconds remaining in the game. While on the power play, David Kolomatis sent a seeing-eye wrister on goal from the top of the right circle that hit a few bodies and past Thunder goaltender, J.P. Anderson, to end the scoring, 3-1.

The Monarchs will play Game 4 of the North Division Semifinals against the Adirondack Thunder on Thursday, Apr. 20 (7 p.m.) at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
