
Worcester Railers HC Announces Front Office Additions

Worcester, MA - Worcester Railers Hockey Club (@RailersHC) President Michael G. Myers announced today that the club has hired Worcester, MA native Tom Matthews as Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator and Katie Arsenault as Marketing and Game Operations Coordinator. In addition, Tymmothy Dore has been promoted to a Senior Account Executive, Tickets & Memberships.
Tom Matthews joins the Worcester Railers HC as the public relations and social media coordinator after spending the previous nine months with Worcester Magazine as a reporter and social media coordinator. While at Worcester Magazine, Matthews received two first place awards in reporting and photography by the New England Newspaper & Press Association and oversaw their social media channels.
A native of Worcester, MA, Matthews was previously a contributing editor/writer with the Worcester Journal and received his bachelor's degree in English from Clark University, where he received the James Bogdanoff '82 Fellowship Award for journalism excellence. The 22-year-old graduated from St. John's High School in Shrewsbury, MA where he played varsity football.
Katie Arsenault joins the Worcester Railers HC as the marketing and game operations coordinator after spending the last five years working with the game night control room staffs for the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics. Arsenault brings a vast amount of experience including working as a graphics operator with the New England Revolution and New England Patriots.
A native of Wilmington, MA, Arsenault previously worked with Comcast SportsNet New England as a graphics operator and has acted as a freelance graphics operator for various productions throughout New England. Katie received her bachelor's degree in Communication & Journalism from Suffolk University.
"The Railers are excited to add Katie and Tom to our ever-growing front office staff," said Myers. "Katie adds major league game operations experience to the Railers, while Tom brings his creative talents and Worcester background to our organization. We look forward to them both becoming a huge part of the Railers experience as we get set for October 14 at the DCU Center."
In addition, the Railers announced that Tymmothy Dore has been promoted to a senior account executive, tickets & memberships after spending the previous nine months as an account executive.
The Worcester Railers Hockey Club, a proud member of the ECHL, will play their inaugural game at the DCU Center on Oct. 14, 2017.
