Glens Falls: Ryan Clark (UNC Greensboro) came into Glens Falls and allowed only 2 hits as the Mohawks defeated the Glens Falls Golden Eagles by a score of 6-0.
Clark threw 6 plus innings and allowed only 2 hits, both to Brennan Price (Felician). Kevin Cowan (Williams Patterson) opposed him and went 6 innings allowing 4 runs but only 1 earned.
Amsterdam was led offensively by Marcus Carson (Kentucky) and John Razzino (Franklin Pierce) who went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 4 for 4 with 2 RBI respectively.
Glens Falls offense on the night was supplied by Brennan Price who managed the only 2 hits off of Mohawks pitching.
The mohawks scored 2 runs in each of the first 2 innings. Carson scored the first run on the game on a passed ball and Razzino would score the second run in the first on a sac fly by Jon Pryor (Wake Forest). Both of the runs would be unearned. In the second inning Marcus Carson drove Blake Logan (Auburn) in on a single after Logan reached on a throwing error by the shortstop. Razzino would drive home the lone earned run off Cowan on a safety squeeze.
The Mohawks would add two insurance runs in the 8th. The first run coming on another RBI single by John Razzino and the second on a bases loaded walk to Thomas Kain (Lynn).
The Eagles and Mohawks will square off again in Glens Falls on June 30th at 7pm.
