July 10, 2002 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
San Angelo Saints News Release

San Angelo – The San Angelo Outlaws of the Central Hockey League are proud to announce they have re-signed their former Captain and defenseman, Corri Moffat. Moffat, a 5’11”, 200 lb native of Stoughton, Saskatchewan, was awarded the Co-Most Valuable Player last season and the Outlaws Top Defenseman and Iron Man Award during the 2000-2001 season.

“I enjoy being here in San Angelo,” said Moffat. “I am looking forward to building on last years efforts and making a run for the playoffs and the President’s Cup Trophy.” Moffat is no stranger tot eh CHL’s most prized possession. He was on the 1997-98 El Paso Buzzards squad, along with outlaws Head Coach Brent Scott, who won the WPHL Championship during that season. Moffat has also been a two time WPHL All-Star, making appearances in both 97-98 for El Paso and 00-01 for the Outlaws. “I am excited to have Corri back in my line-up,” said Outlaws Head Coach Brent Scott. “He was a vital cornerstone of our defense last season and we look forward to building on that again for this upcoming season!”

With the re-signing of Corri Moffat the Outlaws sit with 10 players signed to contracts for the 2002-2003 hockey season. This places them among the top leaders in the league for most signed, a place the Outlaws have never been before. The Outlaws look to start training camp October 7th with an exhibition game versus the Odessa Jackalopes, here at the Hideout, Sunday October 13th. The time and ticket prices have yet to be determined.
