"This is a great deal for our club and this trade puts us in a position with a lot roster flexibility and the opportunity to bring in key influential players in the attack. Internationally, Hairston has played at several levels for the U.S. Men's National Team. His first international call-up came for a U20 training camp in April of 2013. Since then, Hairston made appearances for the U20 National Team at the 2013 Toulon Tournament, played for the U21 and U23 teams in 2014 and earned his first senior national team call-up in January of 2018.
Quintero was acquired in March of 2018 as the club's first Designated Player in club history. Immediately, he made an impact, scoring his first MLS goal in his MLS debut at Portland on April 14, 2018. He scored the club's first hat-trick at home on July 4 against Toronto, was named MLS Player of the Month in July of 2018, was named a 2018 MLS All-Star and won the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Golden Boot, scoring six goals throughout the tournament.
