Published on March 2, 2018 under Major League Soccer (MLS) News Release
NEW YORK - Ahead of the 23rd season of Major League Soccer, which kicks off tomorrow, Saturday, March 3, MLS has announced details for watching out-of-market games for 2018.
MLS LIVE, MLS' direct-to-consumer streaming service, and MLS Direct Kick, MLS' cable and satellite out-of-market package, will return for 2018. These services are the perfect companion to every MLS fan's pay TV subscription, providing access to hundreds of live out-of-market, regionally televised matches not available through a local TV subscription package.
MLS fans in the U.S. will enjoy free access to MLS out-of-market streaming games via MLS LIVE until the launch this spring of ESPN+, the direct-to-consumer streaming product from ESPN and BAMTECH Media. Following the spring launch, MLS LIVE will be available to fans exclusively on ESPN+ as part of the $4.99 monthly subscription.
During the free access period prior to the launch of ESPN+, MLS LIVE is available for fans at LIVE.MLSsoccer.com and on the MLS Mobile App, Apple TV and Roku and will provide fans the opportunity to stream up to eight (8) out-of-market matches each week.
In addition, MLS Direct Kick is back for 2018 and is available for $89.00 on DIRECTV and iN DEMAND.
For more information, go to www.directv.com/sports or www.indemand.com or contact your local cable provider.
In Canada, MLS LIVE is moving to the DAZN platform. More details can be found at www.dazn.com.
On MLS LIVE and MLS Direct Kick platforms all nationally-televised matches are blacked out. Local broadcast blackout policies also apply.
