October 2, 2006 - Major League Soccer (MLS) News Release

NEW YORK (Monday, Oct. 2, 2006) - Major League Soccer announced today that all remaining MLS Cup 2006 tickets will be made available to the general public on Tuesday, Oct. 3, through all Ticketmaster locations and the MLS Cup 2006 web site, www.mlscup.com. This will be the first public chance for soccer fans to get their hands on tickets to Major League Soccer's premier event, MLS Cup.

The 11th MLS championship game, MLS Cup 2006, will be played on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 3:30 p.m. ET at Pizza Hut Park in the northern Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas. Pizza Hut Park is a 20,500-seat soccer specific stadium that opened in August 2005 and is home to FC Dallas, a charter member club of Major League Soccer.

Tickets previously had been allotted to season ticket holders of FC Dallas as well as through a Random Computerized Drawing. The latter, conducted on a worldwide basis over the Internet, concluded on Sept. 29 with ticket orders coming in from 33 different states plus the District of Columbia and four foreign countries.

The previous 10 MLS Cups have attracted nearly 385,000 fans (an average of 38,443 per game) to see MLS' season-ending championship. Last year's game was held at Pizza Hut Park and drew a sell-out crowd of 21,193 to watch the Los Angeles Galaxy defeat the New England Revolution 1-0 in extra time.

Corporate ticket packages and youth team allocations are also available. For seating and pricing options or to purchase tickets to MLS Cup 2006, log onto www.mlscup.com or call Ticketmaster at 214-373-8000. Ticket prices range from $35-$150, with 10 different seating options fans can choose from.
