Houston Dynamo 2006 MLS Cup Playoff Tickets On Sale Today

Houston, TX - (Monday, October 2, 2006) - After clinching a spot in the Western Conference playoffs with a 1-0 victory against D.C. United on Saturday, the Houston Dynamo opened its 2006 MLS Cup Playoff ticket sales today.
First-round playoff tickets went on sale at 10:00 a.m. CT. Tickets may be purchased either by calling the Houston Dynamo Ticket office, at 713-276-7500, calling Ticketmaster, or logging on to www.houstondynamo.com. Ticket prices will remain consistent with 2006 regular-season pricing.
The top four teams in the Western Conference qualify for the playoffs. Houston and Dallas have already clinched a playoff spot, but with only two games to play in the regular season all four seeds remain undetermined. The Dynamo can clinch at least a second place finish on Saturday, October 7 if it beats Real Salt Lake, and Chivas USA loses or ties against the Kansas City Wizards.
The first round is played on a home-and-home series with the lower seed playing the first home game. Should the Dynamo finish in first or second place in the Western Conference, they will host the second game of that series, which is scheduled to be played on Sunday, October 29th, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. CT. If Houston finishes in third or fourth place, it will host the first game of its first-round series on Sunday, October 22nd. The starting time for this game has not yet been determined.
Dynamo full-season ticket holders will automatically receive admission to this game as part of their 2006 package. Season-ticket holders are to use Bonus game 4/Game 20B tickets for this contest.
Saturday's game between the Houston Dynamo and Real Salt Lake is slated for 8:00 p.m. CT at Rice Eccles Stadium.
