Milwaukee Wave News Release

Your Six-Time Champion Milwaukee Wave travel across the border on Saturday, December 10th to face their arch-rivals, the Chicago Mustangs. Kickoff is set for 7:05pm from Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

"We always know Chicago is going to be a very difficult team to play, especially in front of their home crowd," said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "Our goal as a team is to have a complete 60 minute game together; something we haven't been able to do on the road just yet."

The Milwaukee Wave, who sit 4th in the Major Arena Soccer League Central Division, are coming off a dominating win last Saturday night at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, handing the St. Louis Ambush their 5th loss of the season. That win earned Forward #24 Max Ferdinand and Midfielder #26 Ian Bennett MASL Team of the Week honors.

The Chicago Mustangs, first place in the Major Arena Soccer League Central Division, dropped their first game of the season against the Kansas City Comets last week. The Mustangs are looking to regain the scoring touch that had them unbeaten after four games.

"We haven't won in Chicago since they've come into the league," said Oliviero. "It's a tough place to play and we're going to go in there with the mindset that we're coming out with a win. We played them in pre-season, they brought their full team and we played them really well. We know it's not going to be easy but I think our defense is going to be the key to that game. Chicago has got some great offensive players. If they defend really well, I think we will create other opportunities at the other end of the field." ###
