
Mittelstadt Tabbed as Week 5 Defenseman of the Week

After a 5-point weekend, Madison Capitols blueliner Luke Mittelstadt has been named the Week 5 Defenseman of the Week.
The Minnesota commit tallied four of his five assists in Friday night's 6-3 victory over the Muskegon Lumberjacks. On Saturday, Mittelstadt assisted on the first goal of the game scored by Ben Dexheimer's, 1:53 into the contest.
The Eden Prairie, Minnesota native has put together an impressive start to the young season. Through nine games, he leads all USHL defenseman in goals with 4 and is tied for the league lead in points (10) among blueliners. Mittlestadt's 10 points is tied for second among Capitols players and leads all Madison defenseman in points.
This is the Capitols second Player of the Week honor. Simon Latkoczy earned Goaltender of the Week in week 3.
