Mississippi Blues Introduced At Jackson State University
October 22, 2008 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Mississippi Blues News Release
Jackson, MS. Jackson State University and the Pan-Hellenic Council has agreed to introduce the ABA Mississippi Blues at its homecoming stepshow on Friday, October 24th at 8pm. The stepshow that will take place in the Athletic and Assembly Center is an annual event for the JSU Homecoming.
Owner Daniel Price is excited about the upcoming season and is very appreciative of Jackson State University and the Pan-Hellenic Council for introducing the Mississippi Blues. "We love the idea that it's the JSU vs Mississippi Valley State home coming," stated Price. "Because we have players we have invited to training cmap that played college ball for both schools. Ernest Hassell, Julius Young and Rod Smith all played at JSU; Christopher Watson played for Mississippi Valley. That should spark some cheers at the stepshow alone."
The Mississippi Blues are very active in the community. This past weekend, the organization participated in the Strides for Breast Cancer that was held at the Mississippi Ag Museum. Season tickets are on sale now. Contact Daniel Price at dprice@msblueshoops.com or call 601 951 5045 or visit www.msblueshoops.com or www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
