Mississippi Blues Coming To The Coast
August 6, 2009 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Mississippi Blues News Release
Biloxi, MS. The ABA Mississippi Blues have announced that they are moving to the Gulf Coast this season and will begin play in December in Biloxi, Mississippi. "This has been our goal since we began," stated team owner Daniel Price. "And we are very excited about the move. The reception we've received from the community has been tremendous and top quality professional basketball is long overdue here. Biloxi is truly one of the great cities of the south."
The team has announced its second tryout camp for Saturday, August 29th to be held at Biloxi High School, 1845 Richard Drive, Biloxi, MS 39532. The pre-registration price is $100, and $125 the day of the tryout. Registration will begin at 8a and tryouts start at 9.
"We are in a very strong division with teams like the Atlanta Vision, Georgia Prowl, Bahama All Pro Show, Georgia Life, College Park Spyders and others," added Price. "So we know that we have to have a very strong team to compete and make the playoffs. We think there are some great players in the area from Mississippi, Florida and Louisiana and hope that they'll try out."
