
Missions Release 2012 Schedule

San Antonio Missions News Release
San Antonio - The Texas League champion San Antonio Missions have released their 2012 schedule.
San Antonio will begin defense of their 12th Texas League Championship with a six-game, season-opening home stand beginning on Thursday, April 5 at 7:05 p.m. thru Saturday, April 7 against the Tulsa Drillers (Colorado Rockies) before welcoming the NW Arkansas Naturals (Kansas City Royals) for three games from Sunday, April 8 thru Tuesday, April 10. The Missions will raise their 2011 Texas League championship banner on Opening Night along with a championship ring ceremony and the championship trophy will be on display.
This will be the first time since 2008 San Antonio has opened at home. The Missions also conclude the 2012 regular season at The Wolff, with three games against the Corpus Christi Hooks (Houston Astros) from September 1-3.
San Antonio will play home games on Easter (Sunday, April 8 @ 4:05 p.m. vs. NW Arkansas), Mother's Day (Sunday, May 13 vs. the Midland RockHounds @ 4:05), Memorial Day (Monday, May 28 vs. the Arkansas Travelers @ 4:05 p.m.), Independence Day (Wednesday, July 4 vs. NW Arkansas @ 5:05 p.m.) and Labor Day (Monday, September 3 vs. Corpus Christi at 6:05 p.m.).
This year's Texas League All-Star Game will take place on Wednesday, June 27 in Tulsa, OK.
The Missions will play 10 home games in April, 18 in May, 10 in June, 15 in July, 14 in August and three in September.
