Missed Opportunities Hurt Riders in 3-1 Loss to Travs

FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, came up short in Sunday's series finale against Arkansas, falling 3-1 to the Travelers at Dr Pepper Ballpark.

BIG MOMENTS Juremi Profar crushed a solo homer to left in the eighth, accounting for the Riders' only run. The Riders stranded eight men and went 1-7 in scoring position. Most notably, they were unable to capitalize on a bases-loaded, one out opportunity in the fifth. Arkansas starter Tyler Herb earned the win, tossing six scoreless frames. Herb surrendered five hits and four walks, while striking out two. The Travelers took a 1-0 in the second when Riders starter Connor Sadzeck walked in a run. Arkansas added two more runs in the fourth on Jeff Kobernus' two-out two-run single to right field. Joe Filomeno, Shane McCain, Ryne Slack, and Nick Gardewine combined to post four consecutive shutout innings of relief, allowing just two hits. KEY RIDERS PERFORMERS

Juremi Profar: 2-4, HR, RBI Michael O'Neill: 1-3, BB, SB NEWS AND NOTES

Juremi Profar ended a 0-21 drought with a single in the fourth before hitting a homer later in the game. Profar's five home runs put him in a five-way tie for the team lead. Isiah Kiner-Falefa lost his 11-game hitting streak but walked twice to run his on-base streak to 12 games. WHAT'S NEXT
