Medford Rogues News Release
MEDFORD, ORE - The Medford Rogues, in conjunction with the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, are proud to announce that newly crowned Miss Oregon, Allison Cook, will make one of her first public appearances at Harry & David Field on Saturday, July 20.
The appearance is part of a fundraising event for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and will involve the only "50/50" raffle the Rogues will present this season. The goal of the raffle is to raise $2,500 for Asante's CMN Hospitals Program. In addition, thanks to PacificSource, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center will receive $100 for each homerun and $500 for each grand slam hit by a Rogues player during the 2013 Rogues home games.
Allison, 19 and a Radiologic Sciences student at Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls, was crowned the 67th Miss Oregon on June 29 in Seaside, Oregon. Her platform is, "Brain Injury Awareness," and she now starts her journey toward the Miss America Competition in Atlantic City.
"We are proud to have Allison join us on July 20, and even more proud to be able to support the Children's Miracle Network," Rogues General Manager Chuck Heeman said. "CMN has been a close partner during our earlier days in Klamath Falls, and to have an Oregon Tech student represent Southern Oregon and CMN is a great honor. We hope to do our part in helping Allison toward her goals as she is helping our local CMN people with theirs."
