Miracle Two-Out Rally Gives Roadrunners First Franchise Win
June 12, 2007 - Golden Baseball League (GBL)
St. George RoadRunners News Release
The St. George Roadrunners were down 10-4 with two outs and nobody on base and staring at a winless start to the 2007 season.
Gary Gallegos worked himself into trouble with back-to-back walks and a hit batter. St. George then added three consecutive hits before Mark Okano committed his first error of the season at 3rd base. Gallegos gave way to Dave Coggin, who came into a bases loaded situation and a 10-9 score.
Greg Burrows capped the comeback with a game-winning two-run double off the left field wall.
The Flyers received a great start and 11 strikeouts from SP Alex McRobbie.
Dave Bacani struck a big blow in the 4th inning with a three-run homerun.
Both teams will meet again at Goodwin Field in the home opener for the Orange County Flyers Wednesday night.
