
Minot Gets Revenge Against Albany

Albany, NY - December 26, 2006 - The Skyrockets reunited in Albany on Christmas Day to get ready for their rematch against the Albany Patroons. After losing their first game against Albany, the Skyrockets were looking for some payback on Tuesday.
With a new face in the line-up and a well-rested team on the floor, the Skyrockets started strong and were down by 1 point at the end of the first quarter. They dominated the second, winning the quarter point 38-29, and finishing the half up by 8. They came out strong in the second half and continued to control the game in the third quarter. The Patroons had a strong showing in the final stanza, outscoring Minot by four, but when the final buzzer sounded, Minot was on top 117-96, with 5 quarter points.
Ray Cunningham had another strong performance with 37 points and 8 rebounds. Jitim Young had 25 points in the game, and three other Skyrockets hit double-digit in scoring. Kenyon Gamble also had a strong showing with his first double-double of the year (12 points, 10 rebounds).
The Skyrockets will face Albany for the third straight time on Friday, December 29th. They will then travel to Indiana to take on the Alley Cats and will return home on New Year's Day to get ready for a January 2nd home game against the Alley Cats.
