Jamario Moon named CBA Player of the Week

ALBANY, NY (December , 2006) - The Continental Basketball Association announced today that Jamario Moon was named the CBA Player of the Week for December 18 - December 25. Moon is the first player from the American Conference to be named this season, and the first Albany player to be so honored since the Patroons' return to the CBA in the 2005-06 season. What makes Moon's accomplishment so special is that he has been able to do it by coming off the bench for the Patroons.
In a little over 32 minutes a game, Moon was able to average 26.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.8 blocks and 2.5 steals as the Patroons went 4-0 on the week. Moon shot an impressive 56.9% (37/65) from the field, 71.4% (15/21) from the line, and 58.3% (7/12) from behind the arc.
Moon started the week with a 28 point, 9 rebound, 4 blocks, 5 steal performance in a 142-107 win over Minot. Jamario came back with 23 points, 8 rebounds in a 117-116 overtime win over Indiana. Next up for Moon was 28 points in a 103-96 win over Pittsburgh. Jamario finished the week with 27 points in a 116-112 win over the Alley Cats. The Patroons captured 24.5 out of a possible 28 points as they put room between themselves and their American Conference competitors.
