Minnesota Lynx News Release

Playing in a career-high 45:00 minutes of action, Napheesa Collier shined once again for the Lynx, ending the game with a team-high 31 points on 11-of-21 from field and 8-of-9 from the free throw line, eight rebounds, five assists and a game-high and career-high six blocks. She joins Maya Moore (7x; MR: four games from May16-24, 2014) as the only Lynx players to score 30+ points in consecutive games.

Collier becomes only the second player in WNBA history to have 30+ points/5+ rebounds/5+ assists/5+ blocks. The only other player to do so was Candace Parker who did so on July 9, 2008 vs. Houston.

For the month of June, Collier closed out the month averaging 25.3 points per game on 52.0% shooting (89-of-171), which ranks her second for the month in scoring behind Jewell Loyd's 25.6 ppg who shot 39.4% (89-of-226). Her 25.3 ppg in the month ranks her third in franchise history in points averaged in any month with Maya Moore being the only Lynx to average higher (2x, MR: 26.4 ppg in July 2014).

Kayla McBride played a season-high 40:26 minutes of action while finishing the night with 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including 4-of-8 from deep, six rebounds and a career-high-tying five steals. McBride becomes the 11th Lynx player to record 15+ points/5+ rebounds/5+ steals in a game.

With her three-point basket at the 7:15 mark of the second quarter, McBride officially surpassed 1,000 career points as a member of the Lynx.

Lindsay Allen proves to be a vital force on the offense, ending the evening with five points, six assists and zero turnovers in 30:03 minutes of action. Over the last three games, Allen has totaled 22 assists and no turnovers and now ties Sue Bird and Michelle Cleary for the most assists over a three-game span without committing a turnover in WNBA history.

Diamond Miller finished the game with a career-high 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting, four rebounds, two steals and a career-high two blocks in 25:08 minutes of action. Miller becomes the 10th rookie in Lynx history to tally 15+ points/2+ steals/2+ blocks in a game and the first since Collier did so on Sept. 8, 2019 at Los Angeles.

Team Notes

Tonight's 99-97 overtime win over the Storm marks Cheryl Reeve's 287th career win, tying her with Brian Agler for third all-time on the WNBA's coaching wins list. She currently leads all active coaches in the WNBA in career victories.

Led by McBride's career-high-tying five steals and Collier's career-high six blocks, the Lynx hauled in 11 steals and a season-best 10 blocks, respectively. Tonight marked just the fourth time in franchise history the team has tallied 10+ steals/10+ blocks in a game and the first since June 27, 2015 vs. Phoenix. The Lynx remain unbeaten (4-0) when doing so.

Tonight's victory on Seattle's home court breaks an eight-game losing streak that began on August 16, 2017 to August 3, 2022 when the Lynx were the visiting team.

Storm Notes

Jewell Loyd led the way in the Storm's efforts with 41 points and nine rebounds in 40:26 minutes. Ezi Magbegor was a strong presence as well, scoring 16 points and grabbing a game-high 16 boards in 41:27 minutes of action.

Next Game

The Lynx will head to Phoenix to close out the two-game road trip. This game will air on Bally Sports North Extra with a tipoff scheduled for 9:00 p.m. CT.
