Milwaukee, WI, February 7, 2005 â This week the Milwaukee Wave begins preparations for two weekend games against the Chicago Storm and Baltimore Blast. The Wave will travel to Chicago on Friday, February 11 (7:30 p.m.) for the seventh meeting between the Wave and Storm this season. Milwaukee will then host Baltimore on Sunday, February 13 (1:00 p.m.) at "The Cell," U.S. Cellular Arena. This Sunday is a Piggly Wiggly Family 4-Pack Day. Fans can purchase four (4) tickets, (4) hot dogs and four (4) sodas for just $50.00. Orders must be placed in advance by calling the Wave office at 414-224-9283.

Wave vs. Chicago Storm 2004-05 Series: 3-3

The Milwaukee Wave and Chicago Storm will meet for the seventh time this season on Friday night. The two teams last met on Sunday, January 23 in Chicago, with the Storm taking a 7-3 decision. Semir Mesanovic collected two goals for Milwaukee, while Sandre Naumoski, Matthew Stewart and Byron Alvarez each tallied two goals for Chicago. With the win, the Storm evened the season series between the two clubs at 3-3, with each team going 2-1 at home. Wave forward Greg Howes (5G, 2A) and midfielder Angel Rivillo (6G, 1A) lead the offensive attack this season against the Storm, each collecting seven points in the sixth meetings.
Wave vs. Baltimore Blast 2004-05 Series: 2-2

The Milwaukee Wave and Baltimore Blast will meet for the fifth time this season on Sunday afternoon. In the last outing between the clubs, Baltimore defeated Milwaukee 4-3 at 1st Mariner Arena. Before leaving the game in the fourth quarter due to injury, Todd Dusosky collected a goal and an assist to lead the Wave in the losing effort. Four different Blast players tallied goals, while Sagu recorded the win between the posts. Baltimore's Carlos Garcia currently sits atop the MISL leader board with 33 points (18G, 15A) and Giuliano Celenza holds the fourth place spot with 31 points (21G, 10A). Milwaukee currently boasts the top defensive attack behind MISL leading goalkeeper Nick Vorberg (4.02 GAA). The team also leads the league with a 4.8 goals against average and is the most effective on the man down team, killing an opponents power play 72% of the time.
Defender Undergoes Successful Surgery: Last Friday, February 4, Wave defender Troy Dusosky had a successful surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament. The procedure was performed by Dr. Robert Buss at Froedtert Hospital. The 28-year old Anoka, Minnesota native will miss the remainder of the regular season as he begins an intensive rehabilitation program to strengthen his knee for the 2005-06 campaign.
Wave of Kindness: The Wave of Kindness is an initiative that allows the Milwaukee Wave to connect with the greater Milwaukee community at large. For each Wave of Kindness bracelet purchased individually at $2.50, a ticket to a Milwaukee Wave home game will be donated to a local charity. The Wave of Kindness bracelet is available at merchandise stands at the U.S. Cellular Arena during Wave home games.
