February 22, 2019 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Milwaukee Wave News Release
The Six-Time Champion Milwaukee Wave defeated the defending MASL champion Baltimore Blast Saturday night in front of their home crowd at SECU Arena in Towson, Maryland.
Final score: Milwaukee Wave 5, Baltimore Blast 2.
Milwaukee Wave Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero...
On Friday's win at Baltimore Blast:
"This is a big win for us as we position for home field advantage in the playoffs. I'm really proud of the players and the effort they gave tonight on the defensive side of the ball. They really discouraged the Blast from creating much offense. Great win all around."
How taxing was this game on the players?
"It's always taxing. The guys put in 100% effort every time they step on the field. We'll see how the bodies feel tomorrow but after the effort they gave tonight I know they are going to be feeling this one tomorrow.
Will the team be ready for Harrisburg on Saturday night?
"We know its not going to be an easy game. It's difficult turf to play on and the Heat continues to improve. We just have to keep our focus and execute like we did tonight. We're going to enjoy this win and come up with a game plan for Harrisburg in the morning."
Milwaukee Wave at Harrisburg Heat: (Sat. 2/23)
Kick-off is scheduled for 6:05pm (CST / Milwaukee Time)

Ian Bennett:
On Friday's win at Baltimore:
"We knew it was going to be a low offensive night but to keep the Blast to two goals? You've got to give kudos to the defenders and Rafa (Goalkeeper Rafael Dias) especially. He made some big saves tonight and kept us in the game. We were really taking notes from him. It was a good all around team win with a lot of help from Rafa."
On MASL Player of the Week honors:
"It's starts with the training ground, our work ethic as a team and our culture. I'm always just trying to work hard and outwork the opponent but a lot goes to the guys for setting me up and letting me do my thing. We are really hitting on all cylinders right now and our level of play is very high in the club. We definitely want to keep it like that.
