Milwaukee Wave News Release
MILWAUKEE (Thursday, September 22, 2005) - Milwaukee Wave Vice President of Soccer Operations and Head Coach Keith Tozer announced today that 12 players were selected in today's 2005 MISL Dispersal Draft for the Cleveland Force and Kansas City Comets. Trading a selection in the first round, Milwaukee had the sixth selection in each round and picked forward Aaron Susi from the Cleveland Force in Round Two, 12th overall pick.
Aaron Susi, a native of San Diego, California, began the 2004-05 season with St. Louis and joined the Force in early February 2005. While with Cleveland, Susi played in 17 games, recording 27 points on 15 goals and 12 assists. In the 2005 MISL Championship Finals Series versus the Wave, he scored four goals for the Force. He is joined as a draft pick by fellow teammate Kyt Selaidopoulos, who was chosen in the fourth round (24th overall).
"We've had the final pick in each round for several years, and this time we were fortunate to have excellent picks," commented Tozer. "Adding Aaron Susi and Kyt Selaidopoulos from our recent Championship opponents can only strengthen this club."
Other strong picks include forwards James Koehler from the Kansas City Comets (third round, 18th overall), Eduardo Sebrango from the Cleveland Force (fifth round, 30th overall) and defender Alex Zotinca from the Comets (sixth round, 36th overall pick). The Wave also chose six candidates previously selected by these two teams in the 2005 MISL Amateur Draft held in February.
