
Milner Returns to Mallards

MOLINE, Ill. (January 1, 2015) - Quad City Mallards goaltender Parker Milner has returned to the Mallards from the American Hockey League's Iowa Wild while the Mallards have released goaltender Chris Crook, the Mallards announced today.
Milner, 24, on Monday joined Iowa for the third time this season and served as the Wild's backup netminder in a 3-2 win over the Milwaukee Admirals Monday night.
Milner ranks fourth in the ECHL in goals against average (2.31) and sixth in save percentage (.922). The 6' 1", 197-pound Pittsburgh native has gone 8-5-1 in 15 games with the Mallards this season.
Crook was signed by the Mallards yesterday and last night served as emergency back-up to Evan Mosher as Mosher and the Mallards shut out the host Evansville IceMen 3-0.
The Mallards next play at home tomorrow evening at 7:05 p.m. against the Missouri Mavericks. Tomorrow also brings the return of $1 Dog/$1 Beer Night presented by 97X and MetroLINK. Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and beers from iWireless Center concession stands during all Friday night home games. 97X will follow in the spirit of the evening by presenting hot dog-themed intermission entertainment.
